Chrome corundum bricks are high-performance refractory materials mainly composed of α-Al₂O₃ and Cr₂O₃ solid solutions. Due to their excellent erosion resistance, wear resistance, and high-temperature stability, they are widely used in many high-temperature industrial fields.

Its core applications are mainly concentrated in the following areas:

1. Glass Industry

This is one of the key application areas for chrome corundum bricks. They are often used as linings for glass furnaces, molten pools, and flow channel covers. They are particularly suitable for alkali-free glass fiber furnaces and highly corrosive colored glass furnaces, effectively resisting the chemical erosion and scouring of high-temperature molten glass.

2. Petrochemical Industry

In the petrochemical industry, chrome corundum bricks are key lining materials for high-temperature and high-pressure reaction equipment such as gasifiers, synthetic ammonia gasifiers, ethylene gasifiers, and carbon black reactors. Chrome corundum bricks used in these harsh environments typically require high purity (low silicon, low iron, low alkali) and high density and strength.

3. Metallurgical Industry

Chromium corundum bricks also play an important role in iron and steel and non-ferrous metal smelting. They can be used as linings for copper smelting furnaces and zinc smelting electric arc furnaces, as well as in areas of rolling mill heating furnaces such as chutes and tapping platforms that require resistance to high temperatures, high friction, and slag erosion. Furthermore, they can be used in hot metal pretreatment devices and as permeable bricks for steel ladles.

4. Other High-Temperature Furnaces

Due to their excellent comprehensive performance, chromium corundum bricks can also be used as lining materials for furnaces operating under harsh conditions, such as waste incinerators and carbon black reactors, as well as as efficient and safe back lining bricks in high-temperature zones.
